After brief drop, gas prices mostly back to where they started

After gas prices dropped about five cents per litre at some local gas stations in Greater Sudbury yesterday, the price at the pumps seems to mostly be back to where it started.

Most gas stations in the city are charging 99.6, according to GasBuddy.com.

There are a few stations still listed on the website as charging in the low 90s, the cheapest of which is Petro Canada at Lorne and Douglas, which is charging 93.2 (although that price was reported nine hour ago, and could have since changed).

The most expensive gas in the city is 99.9 at Shell in Hanmer, Byrnes in Azilda and Esso in Azilda.

In nearby Sturgeon Falls, gas ranges in price from 97.5 to 97.9.

The average price of gas in Ontario today is 99.0. The cheapest gas in the province is 80.9 in Cornwall. The most expensive Ontario gas listed on GasBuddy.com today is 129.9 in Shabaqua.
