The Société Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin North Bay & Districts has a new executive director.

In her new role, Stéphanie Leclair will lead the society in its mission and overseeing the day-to-day operations, and will be responsible for the society's Sudbury, Little Current and North Bay offices.

Leclair, who starts her new job this month, has experience in non-profit management, fundraising, stakeholder engagement, professional development and organizational stewardship.

“I am excited for the opportunity to lead this team in providing exemplary services to those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias in the Sudbury, Manitoulin and North Bay regions,” she said, in a press release.

“As the number of persons with a diagnosis of dementia continues to grow, our goal will be to work strategically with our community partners in order to ensure those living with a diagnosis and their care partners receive the quality care they deserve.”
