During the month of May, the Beer Store and the Ontario Community Council on Impaired Driving will work together to raise funds and awareness about drinking and driving issues.

The annual event has become an important reminder to Ontario residents to act responsibly during the busy summer holiday season.

There will be coin donation boxes in all Beer Store locations with the funds being used to support the drive sober program and local anti-impaired driving programs.

As well, on May 25, Greater Sudbury residents can participate in a one-day bottle drive to raise money for the campaign.

To prevent drinking and driving tragedies, there are a few steps everyone can follow: plan ahead; drink responsibily, designate a sober driver, call home, take a cab or public transit; or stay overnight.
