Apollo Restaurant lent its support to Health Sciences North and the Maison McCulloch Hospice in January.
The popular Greek restaurant located on The Kingsway made a $2,500 donation to Greater Sudbury’s only palliative care facility, Maison McCulloch Hospice, last month.
The restaurant also operates Toula’s Market, named for owner Toula Sakellaris, where shoppers can purchase family-made olive oil, among other tasty goodies.
Through the sale of the family’s olive oil, Apollo made a $5,000 donation to the Health Sciences North Foundation, which raises funds to support medical equipment purchases, capital projects and research at Health Sciences North.
In other charitable restaurant news, in January, Sudbury Wolves players donned aprons and picked up receipt pads at Overtime Sports Bar and Grill to raise funds for Inner City Home of Sudbury.
