The Centre Victoria pour femmes has announced the winners of a contest in which participants created responses young girls should use when asked to send inappropriate pictures of themselves through texts or emails.

The contest coincided with Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Month, in May.

Émilie Szekely, a Grade 12 student at École secondaire catholique Saint-Joseph, in Wawa, was the contest winner with her message: “When I was eight I decided I wanted to be a model. How old were you when you decided you wanted to be a prisoner?”

Her message will be printed on blue T-shirts in French.

The Centre Victoria pour femmes is a not-for-profit and charitable agency assisting francophone women against all forms of violence.
