In memory of Lucie Aylwin, Collège Boréal will fly its Canadian flag at half-staff and observed one minute of silence at 11 a.m., according to a news release.

Collège Boréal offered its condolences to the family and friends of Aylwin, whose body was removed June 27 from the debris of the Algo Centre Mall in Elliot Lake.

Aylwin had worked for Collège Boréal since 1997 and was an employment consultant and recruiter in the Employment Options Emploi office located in the mall.

“The entire Collège Boréal family is feeling the pain and sadness of Lucie’s family,” Collège Boréal president, Denis Hubert-Dutrisac, said. “This tragedy is a reminder to us all of just how precious and fragile life is. The College will never forget Lucie’s commitment and her dedication to her fellow human beings. She was like a ray of sunshine and she touched our hearts and our lives with her light.”
