Are you curious about what happens at Northern Ontario's very own medical school? Here's your big chance to find out.

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) is throwing open its doors at its buildings in both Sudbury and Thunder Bay to the public this Wednesday from 3-7 p.m.

Guests will be able to:

  • Tour and engage in activities in NOSM’s Health Sciences Library. 
  • Try out medical equipment, such as laparoscopes. 
  • Hear about ways to support and volunteer at NOSM. 
  • Engage in guided or self-guided tours of the medical school. 
  • Learn about the requirements for getting into NOSM’s education programs. 
  • Engage in activities about medical simulation and clinical skills, just like a learner. 
  • See where ground-breaking health research takes place. 
  • Learn about how NOSM is accountable to the needs of the people and communities of the north.

NOSM's Sudbury building is located on the Laurentian University campus.
