Board will meet with Smitherman in March

The board and administration of Sudbury Regional Hospital will meet with Minister of Health and Long-Term Care George Smitherman in Toronto March 7.

They will discuss a range of issues and try to seek solutions for the challenges facing the health care system. The hospital “remains committed to sharing the outcome of this meeting with the community,” according to a press release.

During a media interview earlier this month, Smitherman said he was disappointed that hospital CEO Vickie Kaminski was getting paid “more and more” but the “performance of the hospital does not look to be responding.”
