Collège Boréal has been given the Minister’s Award for Excellence in Service Quality (MAESQ) by Chris Bentley the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities during a gala held Nov. 20 in Toronto.

The project VOIE rapide Boréal has been chosen by a selection committee of employment services providers from three different parts of the province. Providing internationally-trained francophone professionals with relevant information and tips allowing them to take wiser decisions, VOIE rapide Boréal’s mandate is to help them integrate the Ontario job market by understanding its requirements and realities.

The project, which was launched more than a year ago, has three main components: a website (www.voierapideboreal.ca), an orientation booklet designed for internationally-trained francophone professionals, and a training guide for Job Connect’s employment consultants.

France Bélanger-Houle, Job Connect manager at Collège Boréal, said that the VOIE rapide project was not only a success with the committee, but also with the users.

“At the last check, more than 15 000 hits where recorded at the website. This is a great team work success and we hope to continue to be able to meet our clients’ needs”.
