Less than 24 hours after falling to the Erie Otters in overtime, the Sudbury Wolves were back on the ice in Brantford to take on the Brantford Bulldogs.
Nate Krawchuk was in goal for the Wolves while Matteo Drobac got the call between the pipes for Brantford.
Despite strong efforts on the part of both teams, Krawchuk and Drobac came up big for their respective teams and shut the door to end the first period in a scoreless tie.
It wasn’t until almost halfway through the second period when the first goal of the game was scored, when Masen Wray scored his second goal of the season to give Brantford a 1-0 lead at 7:13 into the second period.
Just over two minutes later Luca Testa gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead by scoring his eighth goal of the season.
With 1:15 remaining in the middle frame Nick Lardis scored his seventh goal of the season to give the Bulldogs a commanding 3-0 lead with 20 minutes left to play in the game.
The score remained 3-0 until Cole Brown scored his third of the season to increase Brantford’s big lead to 4-0, which is how this one ended.
Sudbury's Dalibor Dvorsky found the back of the net with around three minutes left in the game. The goal was originally allowed but after the Bulldogs' coach challenged the goal and referees reviewed it, the goal was waived off.
After the loss, the Sudbury Wolves now hold a record of 10 wins, 6 losses, and 1 Overtime loss on the season.
The Wolves continue their road trip on Wednesday night, November 15 th , in Sault Ste. Marie against their Northern Ontario rivals the Soo Greyhounds with a start time of 7:07 p.m. before finally returning home on Friday, November 17 th against the defending Ontario Hockey League champions, the Peterborough Petes, with a scheduled start time of 7:05 p.m.
