Secondary school students are invited to apply for the Penage Road Women's Institute's Queenie Svensk Memorial Bursary.
Students applying for this $200 award must be secondary school students, residents of the town of Walden, and be planning to attend post-secondary school in the fall.
Further criteria will be based on overall accomplishements including academic acheivement and financial need. The deadline for applications is May 8, 2009.
Applications can be picked up at the Mumford Branch of the public library as well as most secondary schools in the area. Students can also contact Margaret Laframboise at 866-2775.
