The 2016 Desjardins Live Butterfly Release will be held on July 17, a Sunday, at Science North in front of the Rusty Blakey monument.
Maison Vale Hospice invites people to celebrate the life of a loved one they have lost by releasing a butterfly in honour of their memory. All funds raised through the event benefit the hospice's programs and services.
The hospice is partnering with Desjardins this year. Butterflies can be purchased for $30 at any Desjardins branch in Greater Sudbury, at Maison Vale Hospice, at Lougheed Flowers, and at the Cooperative Funeral Home.

The event is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
