Buzzy Brown's event supports Sudbury SPCA

Buzzy Brown's Brasserie on Regent Street is raising money for the Sudbury SPCA at its second annual Party Down at Buzzy Brown's Nov. 30.

The event begins at 7 p.m. and features light finger food and prizes. Live music by the local band Naked Soul begins at 8 p.m.

“We're hoping this fundraising effort will help us get through the holiday season,” said Rachelle Lamoureux, animal care co-ordinator at the Sudbury SPCA branch.

“The shelter takes on not only the care of animals that are brought in but also enforces laws and investigations related to animal abuse.”

Last year’s initiative raised $2,500 for the shelter.

Tickets cost $20 each, and can be purchased by phoning the Sudbury SPCA at 705-566-9582. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
