Cambrian College is introducing a number of new programs for 2009.

In January 2009, programs in tourism and travel and advanced care paramedic - graduate certificate are being introduced.

The two-year tourism and travel program will follow the industry standards as set by the Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors (CITC) and the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC). It will provide sutdents with the skills, knowledge and hands-on experience need to become travel professionals.

The one-year advanced care paramedic - graduate certificate is designed to provide primary care paramedic graduates with a unique opportunity to gain advanced training in assessment and treatment. The intensive program enables practicing paramedics to continue working while furthering their education and skills.

In September 2009, a three-year animation program is being introduced. Through an agreement with Sheridan College, Cambrian will deliver Sheridan's internationally-renowned animation program, providing students with the opportunity to access an established program that is recognized for its creative excellence.

Students will learn the art of animation and become proficient in traditional and digital methods of animation - a must for careers in the game, film, and TV production industries.
