The Supportive Care Program of the Sudbury Regional Hospital (HRSRH) Regional Cancer Program (RCP) is pleased to offer two ongoing information sessions for cancer patients in Sudbury and across northeastern Ontario.

A session on Nutrition During Treatment will be presented by RCP dietitians. This interactive class will touch on topics such as what to eat during your treatment, how to manage side effects of treatment, and other topics as requested.

The class is free and takes place on Jan. 14 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Cancer Centre, 41 Ramsey Lake Rd.

Those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer are invited to attend a Breast Cancer Information Session, which will feature presentations by RCP social workers, physiotherapists and genetic counsellors.

The session will discuss topics such as how to talk to your children about cancer, lymphadema, hair loss, sexuality, and hereditary breast cancer. The session is free and will take place Jan. 15, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at the Cancer Centre.

These sessions may be available to patients by video conference through the hospital, depending on interest. Participants must register in advance by calling 705-522-6237, or 1-877-228-1822 ext. 2175.
