The 350 student junior kindergarten to Grade 6 school, which is being built on the St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School property, is due to be completed in September 2011.

The project also entails an addition to St. Benedict to house 200 Grade 7 and 8 students. A cafetorium and extra gym space are also being added to St. Benedict.

In total, the projects will cost $16 million. The province is contributing $11 million, and the remaining funds are coming from the school board's reserves.
