Catholic board hosts kindergarten info sessions

A series of information and registration evenings are being held Jan. 25 for parents interested in registering their children in the Sudbury Catholic District School Board's full-day kindergarten program this coming fall.

The information evenings will be held at all elementary schools run by the Sudbury Catholic District School Board on that evening, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Parents can visit the school, see the classrooms, meet the staff and learn more about the variety of initiatives and programs in place for their child, including high-tech learning environments, a focus on family values and social skills, according to a press release from the school board.

Registration packages will be available that evening. Parents are asked to bring their child's identification documents, including birth certificate, birth/registry/baptismal certificate, Ontario Health Card, and immunization record.

For enrolment in Junior Kindergarten, children must be four years of age by December 31, 2011. For enrolment in Senior Kindergarten, children must be five years of age by December 31, 2011.
