The city of Greater Sudbury is advising residents it is not sending staff to homes in the municipality.
Pat McCauley, a media relations clerk with the city, said the 3-1-1 call centre has been receiving calls from residents in the Chelmsford area.
Anyone with questions about their water supply can phone 3-1-1 for more information.
