Schools in Greater Sudbury are invited by the city to participate in the “Ugliest Schoolyard Contest.”
Greater Sudbury's regreening advisory panel VETAC (Vegetation Enhancement Technical Advisory Committee) will award a prize package “worth thousands of dollars” to help make the winning schoolyard “greener, healthier and more student friendly” according to a press release.
The deadline to enter the contest is May 5, 2011.
For more information, visit www.greatersudbury.ca/VETAC, or e-mail Wayne Hugli at [email protected] or Tina McCaffrey at [email protected].
The ugliest schoolyard contest was started by the Canadian Biodiversity Institute and Earth Day Ottawa in 1998.
