Community Living Greater Sudbury (CLGS) has named its new executive director. Vivian Lapointe settled into her new role on March 11.
Lapointe has worked at the senior level in the public sector for the past 25 years, developing and executing strategies on matters of corporate communications, brand reputation, stakeholder engagement, issues management and relationships management, Community Living said in a news release.
Most recently, Lapointe was head of corporate communications and community engagement at Health Sciences North.
Community Living pointed to Lapointe's lean management principles that they say have helped teams of professional staff effectively measure performance, reach measurable performance goals and adopt improved practices.
"I am excited to be joining the team at Community Living Greater Sudbury," said Lapointe. "They provide a valuable service to our community. I look forward to meeting the employees, clients, families and stakeholders and working with them to map or future path at CLGS."
This appointment follows the retirement of Leighton T. Roslyn, who served five years as the board's executive director. Roslyn proved to be an excellent leader during his time with CLGS, making an outstanding list of contributions to the organization, said board chair Paul De Luisa.
