Much as it did a few weeks ago with Falconbridge Road, the city will close Barrydowne Road this weekend starting at 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

The closure is part of ongoing efforts this summer by CN and CP to repair rail crossings in the city. Repairs will be on weekends, in each location, and require full road closures.

This weekend, Barrydowne Road will be closed from 6 a.m. on Saturday (July 9) to 6 a.m. on Monday (July 11). Keep an eye out for road closure and detour signs.

Residents are encouraged to find alternate routes and a revised transit schedule will be shared before the weekend, the city said.

The city also said local businesses have been advised of the closure. Although the road will be closed, access to businesses in the immediate area will be maintained.
