Discoloured water a possibility in Chelmsford

Discoloured water could occur in Chelmsford and Azilda homes and businesses over the next few weeks as scheduled water main valve repairs begin.
Discoloured water could occur in Chelmsford and Azilda homes and businesses over the next few weeks as scheduled water main valve repairs begin.

The problem could arise from pressure fluctuations, Brian Renwick, Greater Sudbury superintendent of distribution and collection, said in a press release. The problem could happen until until work is completed April 23.

“Residents of Azilda and Chelmsford are advised to check water for clarity prior to starting laundry or dishwashers,” Renwick advised.

“Water can be cleared of excess sediments by running a cold water tap, preferably one which is closest to a downstairs water meter, until the water runs clear.”
