As summer starts to wind down, The Market is preparing for fall by offering an array of comfort foods this weekend.

Stop by The Market this weekend and you'll be able to grab some local tomatoes for a hearty sauce or some Ontario McIntosh apples for a warm apple pie.

Seasonal veggies are also making a comeback at the Market this weekend with cucumb ers and fresh winter squash.

“The end of summer means it's time to go back to school and our vendors have your lunchtime solutions,” said a news release from The Market.

“Check out our vendor Thrive Naturally for healthy and plant based energy bars that are perfect for lunch boxes. All of the bars are made in Greater Sudbury without preservatives.”

For more information, check out their Facebook page.

This weekend's market coincided with the Downtown Sudbury Ribfest, so don't forget to grab some fruits and vegetables after you load up on meat.

The Market is located next to the CP/Via Rail Station at 233 Elgin St. in downtown Sudbury, and is open every weekend rain or shine, Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
