For the second weekend in a row, Elgin Street in downtown Sudbury will be closed for a food festival.

Ribfest will close Elgin Street between Larch Street and the beginning of Durham Street from 6 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31 to 3 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 1.

Larch Street between Elgin Street and Durham Street will close on the south side drive lane and parking lane, no parking at the parking meters on the north side. 

Elgin Street, between the beginning of Durham Street and Grey Street will be closed on the south west side drive lane and parking lane only from 6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3.

Durham Street to Cedar Street will close on the west side drive lane and parking lane from Thursday, Aug. 31 to Monday, Sept. 4.

Medina Laneway between Elgin Street and Durham Street will be closed. Local Traffic only from 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31 to 5 p.m Friday Sept. 1 and a full closure from 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1 to 3 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4

Other lane closures:

Leslie Street and York Street, Sudbury- Water main lining will result in intermittent lane closures on Leslie Street and York Street on Tuesday, Aug. 29 to Friday, Sept. 1. Work will be done between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

MR 80, Hanmer- Union Gas will close the eastbound curb lane on MR 80 between Philippe Street and St Mary Boulevard on Wednesday, Aug. 30 for corrosion fault repairs. Work will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
