Members of the public are invited to join professionals, students and parents as the Elizabeth Fry Society is hosting its 4th Annual Professional Development Workshop Series.

The workshops are a fundraising event for the Elizabeth Fry Society, which assists women in trouble with the law.

The first workshop will take place on March 21 and will focus on the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The workshop will be facilitated by Tom Fitzgerald, Director of Crown Operations for this region. The workshop will be held in the Koski Centre at Cambrian College from 1-4 pm.

The second workshop will focus on Sudbury Drug Trends and Illegal Drug Labs. This event will be facilitated by Greater Sudbury Police Services sergeant Peter Orsino and drug unit officer Const. Robert Brunette. This workshop will take place on March 27. The event will take place in the Koski Centre at Cambrian between 1-4 pm.

The third workshop will focus on Laughter Yoga and will be facilitated by Maureen LePage, certified laughter yoga leader, and Cali Collver, both from the local chapter of the Elizabeth Fry Society. This workshop takes place on April 5. This event will also take place in the Koski Centre with the first session set to begin at 11 am and a second session at 1 pm.
