Drivers are being warned to expect possible delays on Lorne Street this Sunday as Greater Sudbury Hydro crews relocate three hydro poles on the busy roadway.

The work in the West End will affect the lighted intersection at Lorne Street and Pacific/Gutcher near Tim Horton’s, as well as Lorne across from Quinn Street, from about 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the GSU said in a news release today.

Traffic will still be able to move through the area, but there may be some delays.

It is not expected that the work will result in any power interruptions. These poles are being moved to accommodate the City of Greater Sudbury’s planned $5.5-million rehabilitation of Lorne Street, which was recently named one of Ontario’s worst roads on the CAA’s annual Worst Roads List.
