Fresh local fall favourites like apples, tomatoes and squash are making their way to The Market's stands this weekend.

Ingredients that are perfect bases for sauces, compotes and other hearty dishes will all be available.

"We also have bunches of fresh basil that will add a burst of flavour to any dish," said a news release from The Market.

"Combine with fresh garlic and olive oil to make the perfect pesto sauce."

Welcoming the new produce means that’s it’s time to say goodbye to some seasonal favourites.

This weekend will be the last weekend local sweet corn will be available. Be sure to grab some before it’s too late.

Remember: Corn can be frozen on the cob to keep its freshness locked in.

The Market is located next to the CP/Via Rail Station at 233 Elgin St. in downtown Sudbury, and is open every weekend rain or shine, Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
