The Family Enrichment Centre, which provides counselling services, has announced it's winding down its operations and closing as of Aug. 31.

Recruitment and retention of qualified personnel, balancing charitable works and revenue generation activities and other financial considerations were key factors in the decision, a press release from the 34-year-old private charitable organization said.

“We have been privileged to work alongside many wonderful community providers, employers, parish communities and colleagues over these years,” the press release said.

“Our sincere hope is that the care and services we have provided will continue under the leadership of our community partners and private independent professionals.”

Clients' files will be securely stored. Further details regarding clients' files will be posted at www.familyenrichmentcentre.ca by July. An event to celebrate the Family Enrichment Centre's many years of service will be planned for September.

Questions or concerns can be addressed to executive director Josie McKechnie at 705-670-0606, ext. 225 or [email protected].
