Le Centre Alpha-culturel de Sudbury will be hosting an event at the St-Joseph Primary School gymnasium to promote Family Literacy Day in the community on Jan. 25 from 1 to 2 pm. There will be music and short stories will be read to children and adults of all ages.

“Family Literacy Day is really important in our community since many Canadians are not bale to fully function in their daily lives because they have difficulties reading and writing. We are a Francophone Literacy Centre for adults and we firmly believe that it is important to promote Family Literacy Day to encourage not only kids but adults to read and write,” said Sylvie Roy, program coordinator at Le Centre Alpha-culturel de Sudbury, in a news release.

St-Joseph Primary School is located at 100 Bruyere Rd.
