Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his cabinet begin arriving Friday in Greater Sudbury for the government's third retreat since being elected to office in October 2015.

The first was held in New Brunswick in January, the second in April in Alberta. While few details have been announced about the Sudbury retreat, the PM and cabinet will be staying at Laurentian University over the weekend.

All 30 members of the cabinet are expected to be in town by Saturday for the weekend meetings, which aim to solidify the government's agenda for the fall sitting of the House of Commons.

While no public appearances have been announced in Sudbury, Trudeau and the cabinet are expected to hold a news conference sometime Monday when the retreat wraps up.

Messages to the Privy Council seeking further details on the trip were referred to the Prime Minister's Office, who has yet to respond. But many details of the New Brunswick and Alberta retreats weren't publicly released beforehand because of security concerns.

The cabinet did attend a spaghetti dinner that was open to the public in New Brunswick.

It's not known yet whether the cabinet will be making any public appearances during the retreat, but they have been offered tickets to simulcast of the final Tragically Hip show, scheduled for Saturday at the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre at Bell Park.
