To recognize International Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Day in Greater Sudbury, the public is invited to an event at Memorial Park tomorrow to learn more about the disorder.
The Sudbury-Manitoulin Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Network is co-ordinating the event.
The network is made up of more than 20 community groups and institutions devoted to promoting awareness of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder prevention and treatment.
The event starts at 4 p.m., and includes a BBQ, awareness walk, information booths and speeches from adults with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and parents of children who have the disorder.
Participants are encouraged to wear red.
