From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 8-12, “Fill 'Er Up!” volunteers will be on site at Esso gas stations throughout Greater Sudbury, providing full service to patrons and raising funds for The Human League’s Breakfast Club for Kids and PLAY programs.

Donation stations will be placed at cash registers and Tim Hortons’ counters inside the Esso Stations for those wishing to add a few dollars to their final total in support of the fundraiser.

The Human League provides funding to schools with breakfast programs, and helps to feed thousands of local children every school day. The PLAY program assists economically challenged families by subsidizing the cost of equipment and registration for extra-curricular activities for youth.

Those wishing to volunteer are asked to phone 705-670-8633.

“It’s always a challenge getting people to come out in freezing temperatures, but we’re asking people to get into the Christmas spirit by giving us a few hours, so that we can help a few others,” said The Human League executive director Leanne Lavoie, in a press release.
