Twenty Civic Awards were handed out April 16 to individuals and groups who consistently give back to the community, said the city in a news release.
Civic Awards promote and reward leadership and humanitarian service through volunteerism and community involvement.
“Tonight, we honour a group of individuals who, through their ongoing mentorship, are helping to make our community better,” said Greater Sudbury Mayor Brian Bigger at the April 16 event. “Their volunteerism reminds us that we all have an opportunity to use our skills and interests to help others in order to build a more livable community.”
