Syrian family arrival

The City of Greater Sudbury welcomes its fifth Syrian family this week. The St. Peter’s United Church Sponsorship Committee and Lifeline Sudbury are have teamed up to sponsor Alyousef family. The family will arrive at the Sudbury Airport Wednesday morning.

Glencore back in court Friday

Glencore returns to court Friday as the mining company faces allegations from the Ministry of Labourt that it obstructed their investigation after the death of underground miner Richard Pigeau in 2015.

Weather for the week

The temperature should warm up a bit Monday, but there will be a 40 per cent chance of flurries or showers, according to Environment Canada. The chance of flurries continues until Thursday, with daytime highs of -4 C later in the week.
