The Sudbury Food Bank received quite the donation on Thursday: The Car Lot donated a 2013 Grand Caravan minivan to help the organization distribute food and transport volunteers.

The donation was made by Car Lot owner Carl Prescott on June 30. On hand was Deputy Mayor Al Sizer, Food Bank President Melanie Dahl and other dignitaries.

"We are so grateful that Carl Prescott and the Car Lot Etc chose the Sudbury Food Bank to donate this van to,” Dahl said in a news release. “With this donation, we will be able to do so much more to help the people in our community that rely on us for food and donations to make ends meet.

“Carl, we are so happy to accept this donation and we accept this with pride and gratitude on behalf of those families we help.
