Two Elliot Lake residents who now call Greater Sudbury home are asking the community for its support for the victims of the Algo Centre Mall disaster.

Melissa Moran told Northern Life today that she and a friend will be at the Vrab's Your Independent Grocer, 1838 Regent St., all day today collecting food and monetary donations.

“If people could come out and support us, that would be amazing,” Moran said.

Cash donations will be used to purchase food, or directed to a relief fund set up by one of the financial institutions that have taken that step.
