Good day to gas up: Prices are down several cents over yesterday

Several stations selling fuel for just over 96 cents today

it's a good day to fill your tank in the Nickel City.

Prices at several Sudbury stations fell to between 96.6 and 96.9 today, compared to the 99.6 price you would have found yesterday.

After gas prices dropped about five cents per litre at some local gas stations in Greater Sudbury yesterday, the price at the pumps seems to mostly be back to where it started.

The cheapest price this morning is at the Mr. Gas station at Bancroft Drive and Second Avenue, where fuel is selling for 96.6 cents, according to OntarioGasPrices.com.

You'll also find prices of 96.9 at the Superstore on Lasalle Boulevard, the Pioneer on The Kingsway near Bancroft and at the Pioneer on Falconbridge Road.

The average price of gas in Ontario today is 97.6. The national average is 101.1.
