Graphic design students learn you can UNDO mistakes

Exhibit challenges graphic design students to reflect on past work

Mistakes happen. Identifying them is such an important part of the design process that this was chosen as the theme for Cambrian College’s graphic design graduating student exhibit, called UNDO.

The show's opening reception takes place April 14 from 6 - 9 p.m. at the college's Open Studio, located at 93 Cedar Street, Suite 303 in the downtown. You can also view the show Friday to Sunday, 12 p.m. - 3 p.m., or by appointment.

For their final show, graphic design students were tasked with analyzing past work to spot errors in judgment.

“People make bad decisions professionally, and graphic design isn’t any different,” said program co-ordinator Ron Beltrame, in a press release.

“UNDO is an exhibition that challenges graphic design students to reflect on past work and to admit that no design is perfect. It also helps them to see how mistakes form a key part of the design process, and that identifying them contributes to better design concepts, better finished products, and more masterful designers.”
