The Sudbury Green Party Association and Nickel Belt Greens is inviting residents to Peddler’s Pub on Thursday at 6 p.m. to meet Casey Lalonde, the party's provincial candidate for the Sudbury riding.

“With speculation of a fall election in the air, Casey has begun gearing up for a successful campaign which will highlight issues important to Sudburians,” the party said in a release. “To better prepare for the election, Casey and her team are looking forward to meeting with new, current and past supporters of the Green Party to hear about what issues are important to you.”

Lalonde is working to build a campaign team and raise money for the next provincial election. But even people who don't plan to contribute or join the Greens are invited, the release said.

“Your time and donations are always appreciated, but even if you feel that you’re not in a position to assist with Casey’s campaign at this time, please do consider joining us at Peddler’s,” it said.

“The meet and greet will be an excellent opportunity to meet party members and supporters who may share some of your interests and values. The Sudbury Constituency Association will be providing some refreshments.”
