An electric vehicle charging station is now available at Science North to provide complimentary charging to science centre visitors.
The station is an initiative of Science North and Greater Sudbury Hydro.
The Eaton Level 2 Charger will charge two vehicles simultaneously, and is now available for use. Look for the green signs in the science centre parking lot, and be sure to register your vehicle with the front desk staff after you plug in.
“Science North is proud to be able to offer visitors use of an EV charging station,” said Jennifer Pink, Science North science director, in a press release.
“As a science centre we want to play a leadership role with respect to environmental responsibility, and this is just one of many green initiatives we have adopted.”
"Greater Sudbury Hydro is pleased to partner with Science North on this EV initiative," said Mark Signoretti, chair of the Greater Sudbury Hydro board of directors.
"We expect electric vehicles to play an increasingly important role in the fairly near future, and we need to ensure our community can accommodate those vehicles."
