Health Sciences North to launch research institute

Health Sciences North will launch its new research institute at a Dec. 10 press conference.

Named the Advanced Medical Research Institute of Canada, the institute will bring together researchers, industry, clinicians, funders and regulators to ensure the dissemination of knowledge and the uptake of promising therapeutics targeting the health priorities of Northeastern Ontario.

Some of the priorities identified by the institute include cancer, vaccine, heart failure and gastrointestinal research.
