Travellers should take note: The Ontario Provincial Police has closed Highway 17 east of Mattawa.
There is no detour available at this spot.
THe OPP say deteriorating weather conditions have prompted the need to close the road way for the sake of public safety.
It is not known at this time how long the highway will be closed.
