Holiday hours for Greater Sudbury Transit

Sudbury Northern Life Greater Sudbury Transit is again doing its part to keep our roads safer this holiday season with extended hours and free bus service after 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. On December 31 between 10:30 p.m. and 3:30 a.m.

Greater Sudbury Transit is again doing its part to keep our roads safer this holiday season with extended hours and free bus service after 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

On December 31 between 10:30 p.m. and 3:30 a.m., buses will depart the downtown Transit Centre every 60 minutes at half past the hour for Sunday schedule urban routes in Sudbury. Buses will depart the transit centre for Garson, Falconbridge, Lively, Azilda, Chelmsford, Hanmer, Val Caron and Capreol at 11:30 p.m., 12:30 a.m., 1:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.

Buses for Coniston will depart at 11:30 p.m., 12:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Trans Cab hours will be extended to match bus service.

On Christmas Eve, December 24, the last departure from the downtown Transit Centre will be at 6:15 p.m. for all transit routes. Departures to Minnow Lake, New Sudbury, Falconbridge, Coniston and Valley East will be outbound only. All other 6:15 p.m. departures will be round trips returning to the transit centre.

There will be no bus service on Christmas Day, December 25. Bus service on Boxing Day, December 26 and on New Year's Day, January 1, will follow the Sunday service schedule.
