The composition of the 12-member board must reflect the geographic, cultural, ethnic, and linguistic characteristics of Northeastern Ontario.

Applicants for the board should demonstrate an understanding of the roles, responsibilities and commitment involved in the governance of a large public institution.

“This is an exciting time to be a member of HSN’s board of directors,” said board chair Russ Boyles.

“We are attracting physicians in record numbers, our teams are introducing new models of care and innovations, and we’re expanding our research and teaching capacity. Board members have an opportunity to work with hospital leadership to design the health-care system of the future.”

Interested candidates are asked to visit www.hsnsudbury.ca for more information and to access an application form. The deadline for submissions Sept. 28.
