“We’re planning this construction project while being mindful of our patients, visitors and staff,” said Joe Pilon, Health Sciences North’s senior vice-president and chief operating officer, in a press release. “The new lot will be constructed in phases to minimize the disruption to people accessing the property.”

Phase 1, which began this week, involves site preparation, including drilling, blasting and the expansion of the access road to the Ramsey Lake Health Centre.

Phase 2 is scheduled to start in spring 2015 and will see the construction of new parking spaces to the northeast and south of the Ramsey Lake Health Centre.
