Interested in palliative care volunteer work?

Maison Vale Hospice is offering free 30-hour palliative care training for those interested in volunteering directly with residents and/or community clients.

After successfully completing the training, and according to the needs of the hospice, the volunteers are asked to complete a minimum of four hours of service per month. The minimum age requirement to obtain the training is 18 years of age.

The training is offered in English and French and consists of 10 series composed of three-hour sessions.

The English sessions will be held from Sept. 15 to Oct.15, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the hospice.

The French sessions will be held from Oct. 20 to Nov. 19, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the hospice.
