From the time he first learned about knights in Grade 4, T.J. Duquette wanted to be one.
While not the most conventional of career paths to follow, particularly growing up in Greater Sudbury, Duquette found a way to make his dream come true.
He was one of five professional jousters competing in the Knights of Valour – Full Contact Jousting, held May 29 on the grounds of the Anderson Farm Museum in Lively. The event was the sixth in a series of eight competitions in the Ontario Invitational Tournament Series. In addition to the full heavy armour jousting tournament, there was also a mounted games competition and birds of prey demonstration, presented by the Canadian Raptor Conservancy.
