Students from Laurentian University's School of Sports Administration (SPAD) flew to London, England, recently to present findings of a market research they lead for the Ipswich Football (soccer) Club.

The six-student team specifically studied the factors involved in ticket purchase decisions of supporters. After contacting Ipswich's Football Club supporters and analyzing their findings, they concluded that ticket prices were the main concern. Instead of simply lowering prices, the group of students decided to increase the perceived value of an Ipswich ticket through implementing programs, promotions, fan involvement and ticket packages.

The football club was impressed with the students' presentation and will be implementing some of the suggested ideas.
