LCBO stores in Sudbury will host the Giving Back Where We Live campaign in support of the United Way Sudbury and Nipissing Districts.

From Sept. 26 to Oct. 13, LCBO customers will be invited to donate $2, $5 or $10 to their local United Way at checkout counters. All proceeds will stay in the Sudbury and Nipissing Districts communities.

In 2012, Sudbury and Nipissing District LCBO customers and employees raised more than $96,000 that helps support 51 social service programs in our community.

“LCBO is pleased to support United Way Sudbury and Nipissing Districts and across the province,” said Rick Redwood, LCBO Northern Region director. “Through the continued generosity of LCBO customers and staff, we help improved the lives of Ontarians and make a difference where we live and work.”

“LCBO has been a longtime supporter of United Way and continues to play a significant role in our overall campaign success,” said Katherine Cockburn, interim campaign manager. “We hope this year’s campaign will be even more successful with help from the public.”
