The Light the Night Walk in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada takes place in Bell Park Friday, Sept. 16.

Walkers carry illuminated lanterns showcasing their relation to the cause; a white lantern for blood cancer patients and survivors, a red one to walk as a supporter and a gold one in memory of a loved one lost.

Participants gather at the Elizabeth Street gazebo starting at 5 p.m., with the walk beginning at dusk, perhaps around 6:30 p.m.
